What is the difference between Send-it Healthcare and a Locum Tenens Agency?

It’s like the difference between a taxi and an Uber. Both get you from point A to point B, but one leverages technology and is more cost-efficient. With Send-it, we still connect you with providers like an agency would, but we do so in a simplified, transparent way that reduces costs and improves quality.

How is pricing determined?

The price you see on the marketplace is what you pay, which typically includes around 13% on top of the provider's rate. This covers overhead items such as malpractice coverage, payroll, platform development, and additional services like credentialing and scheduling. Organizations can reduce the overhead charge to as low as 7% by covering malpractice and paying invoices on time. There are no upfront costs to join Send-it Healthcare.

What do you mean by no buy-outs?

We treat our providers as truly independent contractors. If a provider chooses to join your organization full-time after working with you, there is no cost to you if it is greater than 90 days from their first shift. Before 90 days, there is a recruitment fee of $5,000. This structure protects our platform from being used solely for recruitment.
